SMACON Students Confirmed in Faith

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 1 min read
St. Mark’s College Namagoma (SMACON) was filled with joy and spiritual reflection as students received the Sacrament of Confirmation during a special service led by the Bishop. The ceremony, held as part of the Thanksgiving and Confirmation Service, marked a significant moment in the lives of the students. Standing confidently before the congregation, they affirmed their faith and commitment to live according to Christian values. As the Bishop prayed and laid hands upon each student, the atmosphere was deeply moving and reverent. The sacrament of Confirmation symbolizes the strengthening of one’s faith through the Holy Spirit, empowering the students to grow into responsible, disciplined, and morally upright individuals. The service brought together the entire school community, including staff, parents, and fellow students, all gathered to witness and celebrate this important spiritual milestone. The occasion was enriched with hymns, scripture readings, and prayers, creating a meaningful and uplifting experience. In his message, the Bishop encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their faith, to be good examples in society, and to let their actions reflect the values they have learned. For the students, this moment was not just a religious ceremony, but a personal step forward in their spiritual journey - a commitment to live with integrity, serve others, and uphold strong moral principles. This event highlights SMACON’s commitment to holistic education, where academic excellence goes hand in hand with spiritual growth and character development. As these students move forward, the school community celebrates their achievement and encourages them to continue shining as responsible and faith-driven individuals.
