SMACON Students Step Up to Save Lives Through Blood Donation

Thursday, July 2, 2026 1 min read
St. Mark's College Namagoma (SMACON) today demonstrated its unwavering commitment to compassion, community service, and responsible citizenship as students actively participated in a Mega Blood Donation Drive held at the school. The exercise brought together eligible students who voluntarily donated blood, making a meaningful contribution towards saving lives across Uganda. Their willingness to give this priceless gift reflects the values of empathy, selflessness, and service that St. Mark's College continues to nurture in every learner. The blood donation campaign was organized in partnership with the Rotary Club, under the leadership of District Governor Elect (DGE) Omukungu Daniel Mukasa Damulira, who is also the Director of St. Mark's College Namagoma. His continued support for humanitarian initiatives has inspired students to actively participate in community outreach programs that create lasting impact. School administrators commended all the students who took part in the exercise for demonstrating courage and social responsibility. They also expressed appreciation to the medical teams, Rotary volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event. At St. Mark's College Namagoma, education extends beyond the classroom. Through activities such as the blood donation drive, students learn the importance of leadership, service, and making a positive difference in society. One donation can save multiple lives and today, SMACON students chose to make that difference.
